People
on the ship are now walking around in jumpers and coats as if it is the middle
of winter. It is 28 degrees Celsius now
that we are in the Mediterranean, but after forty odd degrees in the Middle
East it does feel a little cool. We
could call today a day of queues on the ship.
There was an offer that we could get our jewellery cleaned for free
during certain hours but by the time I got there the queue was so long that I
missed out. Wine was also half price
today. This was a good deal because a
very ordinary bottle costs fifty dollars on board. Bill went to get some but the queue was so
long he also missed out. We are allowed
to bring one bottle of wine on board at each port. Princess is not silly. They realised that we would not be able to
buy wine easily in the Middle East, but now that we are approaching Malta, it
will be a different story.
Bill
received a choir pin at a ceremony this afternoon. I was very proud of him, but, mea culpa, I
forgot to take my camera . Sue and I had
a cocktail called “Illusion” before dinner tonight Quite magical!!! We had a talk on Cadiz this morning. We are now looking forward to our European
ports. One of the crew made an ice
sculpture of a horse today. He took a
large block of ice and began by cutting it with a spade. After some time using this mode of modeling
he change to a file. It was all
completed within twenty minutes.
