Sunday June 23 – At Sea

Today we sailed up the French Coast in the Bay of Biscay.  This has been the roughest part of the journey so far.  Last night I thought I might fall out of bed and this morning everyone was wobbling around at Tai Chi.

We did more Rumba at dance class today.  Our line dance teacher, Robbie was taken off the ship in Cadiz and is now in hospital minus his appendix.

Tonight we were entertained by the singers and dancers with their production “Heat”.  They performed dances from around the world wearing the appropriate costumes for that country.  The countries whose dances they performed were Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Cuba and Turkey.  They do two performances each night in the Princess Theatre which holds 1000 people.  Nevertheless, if you are not seated at least 20 minutes before the performance begins, you miss out.  They are very popular.

It is such a pleasure to find our washing all perfectly laundered and ironed and hanging up in our cabin each night.  Evidently, the laundry on board runs 24 hours a day doing sheets, towels, uniforms for the crew and washing for 927 elite members.
