Saturday July 6 – At Sea

The choir performed today and after the event Bill presented Jody, the choir mistress, with a bouquet of flowers.  He also made a speech, which produced some tears in Jody’s eyes.  She acknowledged this in the wake show tonight.  One man in the lift said that it was the best choir he had ever heard on any cruise.  High praise! Bill here. I am always at the back in a choir so don't hear very much. Comment appreciated!

We learnt some advanced Cha Cha steps today and had a port talk on Dover.  About 800 people including my school friend Sue will get off at this port and another 800 will get on.  We had a formal evening tonight and farewelled those leaving us in three days time with a balloon drop and lots of dancing. Jody and Gareth ended up leading some of the line dancing in the glass lifts. An excellent singer and performer Peter Cutler entertained us tonight.
