Wednesday August 14 – At Sea

I think the Captain must have had people trying to rectify Pitcairn’s position in the Pacific because there has been an improvement on the screen.  It is still not correct but at least it is now west of Easter Island. 

Today we organised our tours for the last four land tours of our cruise in Tahiti, Bora Bora, Auckland and The Bay of Islands.  I went to a talk on Tahiti to help with my decision as to where to go.  Bill is going to have a very active time in the four ports as he is doing cycling, a zip line ride, swimming with sting rays and sharks and snorkeling.  I will be doing different tours as I cannot swim or hang onto a zip line with my arm.  I will leave out the bike riding as I do not want to injure it any more.

We had a brunch today and once again the staff had gone to town with carved fruit and vegetables and ice.  Tonight we had another formal night and the singers and dancers did another performance of La Danza.  This was the first show that they performed after they

boarded the ship in Dubai.  Since then, many new people have come on board.  We enjoyed the second viewing of this energetic production.  I thought it was even better than the first time I saw it.  I have no idea how they can do the splits, stand on their hands somersault, etc. on a constantly moving stage.
