Monday May 20 – At Sea

Went to a talk on Komodo Island by Huck, the onboard guru on shore excursions.  He knows his stuff.   Bill thought that the Komodo dragons were cuddly like Golden Retrievers but evidently not so.  They eat only about once a month but can eat 80% of their weight.  You have to ensure that you have no open sores as they can smell blood from 8 km away.  One of the ladies on our dinner table is now so scared that I think she is going to cancel her excursion.  I finished the book, Little Big Lies by Liane Moriarty today.  An interesting way to talk about bullying.  Sunsets over the Timor Sea are spectacular.
Were entertained by a multi-instrumentalist tonight.  Very talented and very entertaining.  He played six instruments.  A flute, a piano, a clarinet, a piano accordion, a saxophone and a carrot.  He used a drill on the carrot to make it into an instrument on which he played Waltzing Matilda.  Bill really enjoyed him because he played the Geelong theme song while he worked on his carrot.

Barbara is doing Tai Chi each morning at 8 am with 100 other people.
