Today, we rounded Cape York and then headed west. As I walked
around deck I saw the many islands in the Arafura Sea. The pilot who travelled with us all the way
through the Great Barrier Reef left the ship near Thursday Island with a family
who had suffered a bereavement and had to return home. Lots of chats with
people who work in very interesting areas.
Saw the movie, The Greatest Showman, with Hugh Jackman. The production show tonight was Blame it on
the Boogie. It was a bit difficult to be
excited about this after the brilliant Encore of a few nights earlier. Choir for
Bill has begun practising for a performance before we reach Dubai. Renee, the
choir maestro loves Queen so they are going to attempt “Don’t Stop Me Now” and
“Bohemian Rhapsody” which will be a bit of a challenge along with standards
like “Cabaret” and “Can You Hear The People Sing”. Our dining each night is at
7:45 pm in the Rigoletto restaurant on Deck 5 on a table for ten but so far
only eight people have appeared.
Follow us on the Sea Princess as we travel west around the world in 2019. We hope you enjoy the posts and photos. Bill and Barbara Healy
