We had a talk by Huck on Mina Qaboos in
Muscat where we will be in a couple of days time. We have been here before so have decided to
go out to the beach in a four wheel drive and then on to a wadi, with a walk in
this region.
We spent a wonderful afternoon being
entertained by Jon Darsk. He is a
flamboyant pianist entertainer. On the
grand piano he played the first two movements of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata,
The Polonaise in A flat and the Nocturne in E flat by Chopin, a tribute to
Gershwin with a medley of his works, including Rhapsody in Blue and a South
American medley with tunes including The Mexican Hat Dance.
The flowers around the ship are
spectacular and the florists prepare fresh flowers each day for people to buy for
their cabins.
We are now sailing through the Arabian
Sea close to India.
Because the majority of passengers are from Australia, we have satellite coverage of most of the AFL and NRL games on TV. No advertising either so it is a great service.
