We were back into the swing of a normal
sea day today. We began this morning by watching Geelong defeat St Kilda even
though they did not play very well. A
happy result. There were the usual Tai
Chi, Line Dancing with Gareth, East Coast Swing for ballroom dancing, a talk on
Iceland and for evening entertainment, Carlos Nesbitt, a Spanish vocalist. He had a great voice and sang quite an
eclectic range of songs. We had hoped to
watch the women’s finals at Wimbledon but when we returned from line dancing it
was all over and Halep had beaten Williams quite quickly. This was a surprise as Serena looked very
sharp yesterday in the semi finals. We
will miss the men’s final tomorrow as we will be out all day on a tour of
Iceland. The best Wimbledon match we
watched this year was the men’s semifinal between Nadal and Federer. Federer could not do anything wrong.
The seas are reasonably calm with just
a gentle rocking motion at night. Now
that we are fairly far north the days are long and the sky is overcast. Tomorrow when we go ashore the temperature is
predicted to be between 10 and 130C.
Time to get out our warm clothes.
