Sunday August 11 – At Sea

Princess put on a welcome back for the people who went to Machu Picchu today.  Wine flowed and they had very exotic canapés.  They said they delayed the welcome back till they thought that everybody would be over the effects of high altitude travel.  I was surprised to hear that so many of the travellers had experienced a spaced out feeling since returning to the ship.   I thought it was only me since Bill has had no effects whatever.  We met a Scottish man called James Docherty who was on the tour but in a different group from us.  He is from Pelican Waters and great fun, so we have arranged to catch up when we are in Caloundra next.

Bill went to choir and line dancing today and I went to the final talk on Easter Island.  I can’t wait to get there tomorrow, although it is a difficult place to land.  Evidently people on Princess cruises only manage to get onto the island 20% of the time.  Well I will remain optimistic.
